The Fishery Improvement Project is now public as a perspective FIP and should be moving to Comprehensive FIP the end of this month, here is the link to the Costa Rica Large Pelagic longline FIP https://fisheryprogress.org/fip-profile/costa-rica-large-pelagics-longline
Fishing is great in Costa Rica, we have lots of Mahi-Mahi!
Mahi-Mahi season is in full swing again this year.
Yellowfin Tuna pricing remains strong and we look to see production pick back up after all the bad weather here however we do expect to see slightly lower than normal production of Yellowfin Tuna this month especially as Mahi is strong and as always with great off the boat quality as usual and direct shipping from the docks.
Swordfish landing are expected to be strong with the full moon cycle as usual.
Mahi-mahi production has arrived and is as strong as ever!! Did I mention we have tons of fresh AAA Mahi HG and fillets daily.
Maricultured Spotted Rose Snappers are still continuing to grow in popularity. Whole, Fillet and Butterfiled Fillets are available with a very long shelf life and perfect texture and flavor. Traceable with our CT Tag and Sustainable!!
We are proud to be a partner with CeDePesca and many other stakeholders and participants in the Mexican Grouper/Snapper Fishery Improvement Project(FIP). A portion of our sales from this fishery will go back to the fishery via the FIP to help support sustainability. Here's a linkhttps://fisheryprogress.org/fip-profile/mexico-yucatan-red-and-black-grouper-longline. Feel free to contact us for more information and to learn how you can help with the complex social, enviromental and economic issues facing this fishery in the effort to become sustainable.
Black and Red Grouper productiuon is expected to be steady.
Red Snapper volumnes should dramatically increase by end of the month.

Our team travels extensively thru out the year advocating for Sustainability and Traceablity in Seafood. We support a number of Fishery Improvement Projects(FIP's) and Socially Responsible work with our supply chain and many different NGO's and helped organize an industry lead FIP. We look to support social responsibility in our fisheries and support the hard working fishermen and women who are at the heart of our supply chain.
Our company now looks to support LPN (our new heroes) an organization that risks their lives to find and free slaves from fishing boats in SE Asia and then houses, feeds, counsels and educates not only people who have been kidnapped and enslaved on boats(some for more than 18 years, since they where kids) but also children and women and families. They do so much good and all your donations go directly to help the people in most need. We urge you to support as well by sharing the story of Ghost Fleet a film making the rounds at movie premieres now and should be availabe on netflix soon and by donating at www.wesaveoursons.org or text 20222 to donate. Many Thanks from the nicest and kindest that are in need. Thanks for choicng to help!
Our team will continue advocating for social responsibility, sustainability and traceability in our food supply chain. It's Our World and we want it Now!!
We end the month with Thanksgiving and there is always, always something to be thankful for. May you have a blessed holiday and everyday wherever you are.
